What's Up Athletes?!
I'm Coach Sonya! A running performance coach based out of beautiful Austin, Texas! My certifications include The Cooper Institute of Dallas - CPT, The National Academy of Sports Medicine - CPT, USA Track & Field Level 1 Certified Coach. In 2021, I was voted the Best Running Coach in Austin, Tx by Austin Fit Magazine!
I train athletes of all ages and sports to help them run faster over all distances. My athletes include sprinters (in multiple sports), distance runners and jumpers.
I began working as an assistant track coach over 10 years ago for a track club in my hometown of Plano, Tx. I went on to coach for collegiate and high school levels where I coached the sprints, hurdles and pole vault. I've taken athletes to competitions all over the country, including to the USATF and AAU Junior Olympics and multiple state qualifying track meets.
I love working with youth athletes on the track and coaching adults in their athletic endeavors as well! Adults are athletes too! Having a knowledgable running coach will minimize injury, maximize speed and make you a more durable athlete.
